Kim Victoria Cattrall, born on the 21st of August, 1956 in London in London, is the daughter of a British and Canadian actress. She was best known as Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for 2002 for Best Female Supporting actress. In 2008 and in 2010, she reprised the character in the films Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. Her main roles include Police Academy, Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 1980s. The name Kim Cattrall and the first thought that comes to mind is her part as Samantha Jones in the popular HBO television comedy Sex & the City. The role of Samantha Jones played by noted actress Cattrall was an important point in her professional career. She did modeling before she began her acting career. She was crowned Miss Sweden. After moving to the US she acted in several movies, in small characters. Her first credit role was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she appeared as an Venusian guard. In the following year after her role on the screen in Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most promising newcomer category.
